Ladonin Design Bureau, known for it’s reliable, hard, effective and simple mechs was once given a task to create a multi-purpose recon mech, which could be able to fill the many gaps in the battlefield.
The result of 4 year long project was TA-R3 "Pointer". Though not as fast as many recon mechs, or not as durable, all it's lackings it made up with great firepower and unmatched range sensors and communications.
While some recon mechs were needed to get close enough to the enemy lines to get intel, Pointer could gather it without any risk of being noticed.
The only real drawback for this armor was the lack of an SJS, which was added only on to command units.
